Everest Academy Announces Bryan and Mary Durkin as 2025 Semper Altius Award Recipients

Honoring a Legacy of Faith, Family, and Service in Catholic Education

Lemont, IL — Everest Academy is proud to announce Bryan and Mary Durkin as the 2025 recipients of the Semper Altius Award, the school’s highest honor recognizing extraordinary faith, service, and commitment to Catholic education.

Bryan and Mary attribute their many achievements in life to their deeply rooted Catholic faith, which has blessed them with 42 years of marriage, six children, four grandchildren, and a beautiful life grounded in faith, hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to helping others.

A Lifelong Commitment to Catholic Education

For the Durkin family, Catholic education has always been a priority. Through their generosity, Bryan and Mary have helped countless students access Catholic education by establishing scholarships at Lewis University—their alma mater—and at DePaul College Prep, as well as by funding teaching facilities at both institutions.
