Job Fair Planned April 9 At Lemont CORE

LEMONT, IL — State Senator John Curran and State Representative Nicole La Ha are joining forces to host a job fair on April 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at the CORE Fitness Center, located at 16050 W. 127th St., in Lemont. Admission to the event and both workshops are free to potential job seekers, according to a news release.

“We are looking forward to connecting anyone interested in entering the workforce or looking for new career opportunities with local business leaders,” Curran said in a release. “We encourage anyone who is thinking about taking their life and work into a new direction to join us for this free event.”

Attendees are encouraged to dress in business wear, bring multiple copies of their resumes, and come prepared for on-the-spot interviews. The job fair will feature over 75 employers, including large employers, and multiple state and local agencies ready to hire for various positions.

“No matter where you are in your employment journey, this event will give you an idea of what opportunities are out there,” La Ha said in a release. “I hope anyone interested in growing their career will consider joining us and dozens of employers at this local fair.”

There will also be three free workshops for attendees throughout the event. Admission is completely free and open to the public.
