Lemont Board Of Education Special Session

LEMONT, IL — The Monday, Aug. 5 Special Meeting of the Board of Education for Lemont-Bromberek CSD113A will include the discussion of potentially hiring an employee, according to Superintendent Dr. Courtney Orzel.

The meeting will be at Old Quarry Middle School in the conference room at 6:30 p.m.

The documentation's language says they'll discuss the "appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal" of certain district employees or district legal counsel.

They'll hear testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or legal counsel to determine its validity.

Since it's a special meeting, they were required to include in the documentation the possibility that it would include a closed session, Orzel told Patch.

They'll negotiate between the district and the employees, or their representative, and deliberate over salary schedules for one or more classes of employees.
