Lemont High School Boys Soccer Team Advances To Super-Sectional

Lemont will play Notre Dame on Tuesday in the super-sectional game.

LEMONT, IL — Boys' soccer teams across the state are making their way through sectional competition play as the IHSA state championships are planned for Nov. 7-9.

The Lemont High School boys soccer team has advanced to the super-sectional after winning a sectional title on Saturday against Brother Rice. Lemont defeated Brother Rice 2-0, earning the program's seventh sectional crown, according to LHS.

The victory was Lemont’s 21st of the season, which matches the 2009 team for the second-highest single-season total in program history, the school said.

Lemont will now play Notre Dame in the super-sectional game at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The winner of the game on Tuesday will advance into the Class 2A state tournament.
