Lemont High School To Host Eighth Grade Open House For Class Of 2030

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will host its annual 8th Grade Open House on Nov. 5, from 6:30-8 p.m., providing an opportunity for current eighth grade students and their families to visit campus and meet Lemont High School teachers, counselors and administrators, the school shared in a news release.

Any incoming student who lives within the school’s attendance boundaries, or who will live within those boundaries during the 2026-27 school year, is encouraged to take advantage of the “sneak peek” the open house provides, LHS said. Lemont High School’s attendance boundaries include Lemont and portions of Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge.

Students and their families will have the chance to learn about the fine academic and extracurricular programs offered by Lemont High School. Prospective students and their families may visit various areas throughout the building, including athletic facilities, the Performing Arts Center, the CITGO Innovation Academy and several newly remodeled classrooms.

Individuals with disabilities who need accommodations are encouraged to call the school’s main line - (630) 257-5838 - in advance to make arrangements. The 8th Grade Open House will begin in the school’s Performing Arts Center, which is located on the southwest side of campus.

This is the only open house that will be offered for Class of 2030 students. Lemont High School does not offer shadow days for prospective students, the school said.

There will be no placement exam for the Class of 2030. Course placements will be made based on standardized test scores that are provided to the school by students’ grade schools.

Parents/guardians of students who currently are enrolled in any private school but are considering attending Lemont High School next year are encouraged to visit the school’s website - www.lhs210.net - and either click on the “Enroll” button at the top of the home page or visit the “New Student Enrollment” page under the ‘Student Services’ tab. Once there, parents/guardians should follow the instructions for non-Old Quarry Middle School students.
