Lemont HS Boys Soccer Advances To State Tournament For First Time Since 2007
Lemont will play Belleville Althoff at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Hoffman Estates High School in the semi-finals.
LEMONT, IL — The Lemont High School boys soccer team has advanced to the IHSA Class 2A state finals tournament after its super-sectional win over Peoria Notre Dame.
Lemont defeated Notre Dame in the twelfth round of penalty kicks, earning the program's second state finals berth, LHS said. After playing to a 1-1 tie through regulation and two overtimes, Lemont walked off with a 7-6 win after 12 rounds of penalty kicks.
According to LHS, goalie Adrian Lisowski made saves on four attempts during the shootout. Lemont has tied a program record with its 22nd win of the season; and the team will appear in the state finals tournament for the first time since 2007.

Lemont will play Belleville Althoff at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Hoffman Estates High School in the semi-finals. The winner of the game will head into the championship against the winner of De La Salle vs. Crystal Lake, according to IHSA.
