Lemont HS Boys Soccer Takes Fourth In Class 2A State Tournament
In the third-place game, Lemont lost to Crystal Lake's Prairie Ridge, 1-0.
LEMONT, IL — The Lemont High School boys soccer team has captured the program's first state trophy with its fourth place finish at the IHSA Class 2A state finals this past weekend.
Lemont was defeated by Belleville's Althoff Catholic in the first round of the state finals tournament. Belleville went on to win the state championship game against De La Salle, according to IHSA.
In the third-place game, Lemont lost to Crystal Lake's Prairie Ridge, 1-0.

"Congratulations to Lemont High School head coach Rick Prangen and the boys’ soccer team on earning the program’s first state trophy," Lemont High School shared on its Facebook. "Lemont capped an historic season by placing fourth at the 2024 IHSA Class 2A State Finals."
