Lemont Police Department Holds Open House in Honor of National Police Week

Residents are invited to tour the police station, meet police officers and participate in a blood drive from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The Lemont Police Department will hold an open house Saturday in honor of National Police Week.

The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the police department, 14600 127th St.

Residents are invited to tour the station and meet local police officers. Refreshments will be served.

A Heartland blood drive will also be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in remembrance of first responders.

Each year National Police Week brings together between 25,000 to 40,000 attendees from departments throughout the United States and internationally to honor police officers who died while in the line of duty.
