LEMONT, IL — With the upcoming New Year's holiday, there are several closures planned for local agencies and organizations in Lemont. While New Year's Eve falls on the weekend on Sunday; New Year's Day is Monday.

- No refuse pick-up on New Year's Day. Collection will be one day later than your usual pick-up day for the remainder of the week. Waste Management will also pick up Christmas trees through the last week of January on your waste pick-up day.
- Lemont Village offices will be closed on Jan. 1.
- Lemont High School and District 113A students do not return to school until Jan. 9.
- Lemont Public Library will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
- Lemont Park District's CORE will be open from 7 a.m. to noon on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
- Lemont Park District's Centennial Community Center will be closed New Year's Day. The community center will return to regular hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting Jan. 2.
- Local post office locations will also be closed on Jan. 1, and regular mail will not be delivered.
