Lemont Water And Sewer Rates Increase 5 Percent On May 1

Currently, the residential (bi-monthly) base fee for 0-4,000 gallons is $50.13 for non-seniors and $25.06 for seniors.

LEMONT, IL — The Village of Lemont will apply a 5 percent increase to water and sewer rates, effective May 1.

The Village said it implemented a new rate structure in February 2024, "to promote water conservation, a bimonthly base fee, and a single water/sewer rate for commercial users."

"This, along with the continued senior citizen discount will assure us that the water and sewer fund remains financially healthy while we continually maintain this infrastructure through user fees," the Village said. "It is important to know that Lemont’s water/sewer bills are the lowest in the region and have the most generous senior discount in place."
