Lemont's St. Patrick's Day Parade Steps Off March 8

The crowning of the Queen and King will happen right before the parade at 12:45 p.m. on Stephen Street near the I&M Canal bridge.

LEMONT, IL — The 33rd annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Fest will be held on March 8 in downtown Lemont, stepping off at 1 p.m.

According to Lemont Downtown, the route will begin on south Stephen Street, and will head west on Main Street. The crowning of the St. Patrick's Day Queen and King will happen right before the parade at 12:45 p.m. on Stephen Street near the I&M Canal bridge.

The fest will then run from 1:30 to 5 p.m. and includes west Main Street, Legion Park and the Lemont VFW. There will be live entertainment, a DJ, and food vendors.

Nominations for a King of the parade are still accepted until Feb. 28 by emailing Julie Thomas at jthomas@lemont.il.us. The contest is open to Lemont residents; high school juniors through second-year college students, preferable of Irish heritage, according to event organizers.
