LHS Baseball Advances To IHSA State Semifinals

Friday's game will be played at 1 p.m. at Joliet's Duly Health & Care Field.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School's baseball team is headed to the IHSA Class 3A state semi-finals after its super-sectional win over Chicago's De La Salle Institute.

The team, coached by head coach Brian Storako, will now face Highland High School on Friday in the state semifinals.

During Monday's super-sectional, LHS said the team won over De La Salle, 4-3. Shea Glotzbach had two hits, including one that brought home the eventual game-winning run, while Donovan Moleski tossed 4.2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

The baseball program has won two previous state titles, according to LHS.

The winner of the match-up will face the winner of Morris and Crystal Lake Central in the championship on Saturday.
