LHS Junior Achievement Seeks Photos For 'Lemont It' Game

Lemont Publishing, Inc. is looking for community submissions of Lemont landmark photos for the cover and game cards.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School’s Junior Achievement company is preparing its annual project, and is looking to sell some Lemont-themed games with some help from the community on the design elements for one of the games, according to a release from the school.

Lemont’s Junior Achievement company – Lemont Publishing, Inc. – is preparing Lemont-themed twists on a couple of popular games, the school said. One of those games is “Lemont It’, which will be a local version of a ‘Spot It’ game.

Those landmarks include the Lemont High School logo, Junior Achievement logo, clock tower, mural, old high school, quarries, canal, Lemont High School arch, Metra Station, water tower, church steeples, Hindu Temple, Waterfall Glen and Ellie Strong. All selected photos will be credited to the individuals who submitted them, according to a release.

Lemont Publishing, Inc. will accept photos through Nov. 8.

Lemont Publishing, Inc.’s products this year will be available for preorder later this fall.

Lemont’s Junior Achievement organization annually builds a business from scratch. A student-led board creates a product, sells stock in the company and markets the product, with a goal of reaping dividends for its shareholders, the school said.

This year’s Junior Achievement board includes seniors Milena Maksimovich (President) and Hailey Vasvery (Team Leader of Finance), and juniors Mykala Kunickis (Team Leader of Customer Service & Sales), Maggie Sinnett (Team Leader of Marketing) and Michael Tilly (Team Leader of Supply Chain).
