LHS Junior Is Class 2A Individual Wrestling State Champion
The school said Heeg finished the season with a 41-3 record and is Lemont's first state champion since 2020.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School junior Judah Heeg earned the school's first wrestling state championship since 2020 at the IHSA Class 2A individual wrestling state championships, held Feb. 22 at State Farm Center in Champaign.
Heeg won the championship for the 190-pound weight class after posting a 4-1 victory in the title match.
The school said Heeg finished the season with a 41-3 record, is Lemont’s first state champion since 2020, and extended the program’s streak of having at least one IHSA state medalist to nine seasons (dating back to 2016).
