New Downtown Lemont Restaurant Offers Classic Asian Dishes

For its menu, Wok'd will be offering lots of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as some classic cocktails.

LEMONT, IL — Wok'd, a new restaurant in downtown Lemont offering classic Asian dishes, will soon be opening its doors.

Owner Angela Terrafino said the restaurant will offer primarily Chinese and Thai dishes, but she considers the business to be Asian fusion, as there are influences across the menu, including Japanese whisky.

Wok'd will be located at 116 Stephen St., which is the former H & H Restaurant building.

Terrafino said the restaurant is trying hard to open this month.

"We are wrapping up construction [and] inspections, and then we will open," Terrafino told Patch. "We have hired a bunch of great people that are eagerly awaiting us to open so they can get to 'Wok-ing.'"

Terrafino moved to Lemont five years ago when she was working with Wooden Paddle (another downtown business), and said she fell in love with the town.

"I knew I wanted to be in downtown Lemont because of how incredible the community is at supporting one another," she said.

For its menu, Wok'd will be offering lots of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as some classic cocktails.

Terrafino said one of her favorite dishes is the Pad Thai.

"I have always been a big 'create my own' anywhere I go so we will have a menu item called 'You Do You ' in our Wok It Your Way section on our menu where you will get to choose your protein, veggies, sauce and rice/noodles," Terrafino said.

No exact opening date is set yet, but check the business' website for more information.
