Obituary: Peggy Lee Smith
The former Lemont resident and long-time realtor moved to Florida and continued to create new friendships. Smith died recently at age 74.

LEMONT, IL — Former Lemont resident, Peggy Lee Smith, of Longboat Key, Florida, passed away at the age of 74, on March 12, following a long fight with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas Smith; caring mother of Dennis (Glady) Smith, David (Amy) Smith, and Nicole (Chris) Langowski; Proud grandmother of Sean, Dylan, Allyson, Brandon, Jacob, Kaitlyn, and Samantha; and Cherished sister of Robert (Debbie) Toomer.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Robert and RoseMary (Poljack) Toomer and brother, Richard Toomer.

After many years as a realtor, Peggy retired and moved to Florida with her husband. There, she met new people and created new friends. Through her loving nature and hospitality, Peggy will be remembered by all that knew her.
Internment is at Sarasota National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on May 12. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on May 13th, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Longboat Key, Fla., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Beach Harbor Club House.
