Obituary: Sharlene Lichtenstein

LEMONT, IL — Sharlene L. Lichtenstein (nee Johnson), age 65; late of Cedar Lake, Indiana formerly of Lemont, died Nov. 7, her family shared in an obituary.

Beloved wife of Pete Lichtenstein for 42 years. Loving mother of Jason Lichtenstein and Rachel Lichtenstein. Dearest sister of the late Shirley, Sharon (Bill) Mazur, Sherry (Jeff) Zaat, late Carl, David (Linda), and the late Bobby (late Dolores) Johnson. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents Robert W. and Mary E. Johnson. Sharlene was a graduate of Bloom Trail High school and a certified paraprofessional working with special education children for Will County School District 92, in Lockport. She enjoyed antiquing, crafting, crocheting and watching hummingbirds.

Per Sharlene’s wishes, services were held privately. Arrangements entrusted to Elmwood Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
