Old Quarry Honors Over 50 Students At 1st Warrior Champions Breakfast
Parents, students, and staff gathered to celebrate over 50 students on Friday for the inaugural event.

LEMONT, IL — Old Quarry Middle School hosted its first-ever Warrior Champions Breakfast on Friday, honoring over 50 students for their exceptional achievements, according to a release from the school. Parents, students, and staff gathered to celebrate students who embody the Warrior spirit through academic improvement, exemplary behavior and outstanding participation.
The school said the Warrior Champion Award recognizes students who exemplify excellence in three key areas:
- Significant Academic Improvement: These students demonstrate a genuine love of learning and a commitment to academic growth, showing remarkable initiative and determination in their studies.
- Exemplary Attitude and Behavior: Known for their respectful demeanor, these students inspire their peers through positive actions and contribute to the school community with unwavering dedication.
- Outstanding Participation and Effort: Whether in individual or group settings, these students go above and beyond in their efforts, achieving meaningful success through hard work and perseverance.
“It was a great morning to be a Warrior!” said Principal Joe Sweeney.
