Police Blotter: Aggravated DUI, Child Endangerment, Reckless Driving

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department Feb. 26 - March 7. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

THURSDAY, MARCH 7

Suspended License, No Insurance

Juan C. Soto, 43, of the 600 block of York Road, Bensenville, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 10900 block of Archer Avenue. Soto was charged with driving while license suspended and no insurance. He was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Driving While License Revoked, Speeding

Robert J. Cavallo, 42, of the 1100 block of Trinity Drive, Addison, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 17300 block of 127th Street. Cavallo was charged with driving while license revoked, speeding and suspended registration for no insurance. He was issued an April 19 court date at the Will County Court House.

MONDAY, MARCH 4

Suspended License, No Insurance

David Green, 52, of the 1600 block of Estate Circle, Naperville, was arrested at 9:28 a.m. following a traffic stop at Route 171 and Parker Road. Green was charged with driving while license suspended, no insurance and expired registration. He was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

DUI, Speeding

Daryl A. Ward Jr., 28, of the 12800 block of Meadowview Lane, Lemont, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 10900 block of Archer Avenue. Ward was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and speeding. He was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

DUI, One Headlight

Judy Rokosik, 42, of the 800 block of Warner Avenue, Lemont, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. following a traffic stop at Canal and Lemont streets. Rokosik was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver's license and driving with only one headlight. She was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26

Aggravated DUI, Speeding, Reckless Driving

Pablo Gonzalez Jr., 18, of the first block of Wilson Street, Joliet was arrested at 12:17 a.m. following an incident in the 12700 block of 127th Street. He was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Aggravated driving under the influence
  • Speeding more than 40 mph over the limit
  • Aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude
  • Reckless driving
  • Driving while license revoked
  • No insurance
  • Disobeying a no passing zone
  • Illegal transportation of alcohol
  • Endangering the life and health of a child

Gonzalez was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of a defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
