Railroad Crossing Work Planned Saturday On Lemont Road

LEMONT, IL — There will be closings on Lemont Road on Saturday due to repairs at the railroad crossing, the Village of Lemont shared.

BNSF needs to make repairs to the crossing between 101st and 103rd Street on Lemont Road. Work is scheduled from 5 to 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The work needs to be done in the southbound lanes, the Village said. Traffic will be cut down to one lane in each direction through this area.

Drivers should expect delays. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and avoid the area if possible. Drive slowly, be aware of road conditions and pay attention to posted road signs and workers.
