Sheep Flock Causing Neighbor Dispute in Unincorporated Lemont

An ongoing dispute between a man with a flock of sheep and several of his neighbors has led to police calls, accusations of trespassing and a lawsuit.

A wandering flock of sheep and their herd dogs, owned by a man living in unincorporated Lemont, is causing serious grief to neighbors, leading to calls to police and animal control as well as a lawsuit , ABC7 reports.

According to the station, neighbors of sheepherder Andrew Tokarz say that his flock of about 50 sheep and their aggressive dogs routinely wander onto their property and into their yards. Cook County officials say Tokarz does have the right to use his 25 acres for raising sheep, the paper said.

"My main concern is I have two small kids. We can't even go outside because we don't know when we're going to have sheep or dogs in our yard," neighbor Heather Ellis told the station.
