State Sen. Curran Hosts Valentines For Seniors Card Drive
Community groups can donate cards to be delivered to assisted living centers, nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
LEMONT, IL — Illinois Senate Minority Leader John Curran is launching his fifth annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive to help provide love and cheer to seniors in the 41st Senate District, according to the State Senator's office.
Curran is asking students, churches, scouting organizations and other community-minded groups to donate homemade or store-bought cards to his office to be delivered to assisted living centers, nursing homes and long-term care facilities throughout the community, according to a news release.
“Valentines have the power to bring a little cheer to seniors who may be feeling restless or lonely and remind them that they are loved, cared for, and remembered,” said Sen. Curran. “Please consider participating in this joyful celebration of our most experienced members of the community.”
