2 Teens Rob Mail Carrier At Gunpoint In North Chicago: Officials

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information after two teen boys robbed a mail carrier at gunpoint in North Chicago.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information after two teen boys robbed a mail carrier at gunpoint in North Chicago on Monday. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service said that two suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun, stole the mail carrier’s personal property but did not take the mail truck keys or any mail.

The robbery occurred around 10:45 a.m. April 6 in the 1700 block of Glenn Drive in North Chicago. The suspects fled the area on foot.

Both suspects were described as skinny male blacks in their late teens with dark complexion, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8, the U.S. Postal Inspect Service said.

One of the suspects had “average eyebrows” and wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue bandana covering his face, blue skinny jeans and white shoes.

The second suspect had “average eyebrows” and wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, black bandana covering his face, blue skinny jeans and white shoes.

Authorities are offering up to a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455 and say “Law Enforcement.” Mention case number 3030152-ROBB. All information is confidential.
