3 Arrested In Stolen Vehicle Early Friday In Lake County: Police
A 16-year-old boy and two men, ages 18 and 20, faces charges f0llowing their arrest early Friday in North Chicago.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — Two teens and a young man were arrested early Friday after stealing a vehicle from an apartment complex in Waukegan, authorities said.
Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies took the driver, a 16-year-old Waukegan boy, and two passengers, a 20-year-old Chicago man and an 18-year-old Waukegan man, into custody after pulling a Hyundai Sonata over in the area of Route 41 and Casimi Pulaski Drive in North Chicago at about 2:30 a.m.
A sergeant clocked the vehicle going 93 mph in a 55 mph zone before pulling it over, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

When the sergeant approached the car, he noticed a passenger side window was shattered and the steering column was damaged, authorities said. Officers learned the vehicle had been stolen moments earlier from an apartment complex in the 500 block of Lakehurst Road in Waukegan.
The boy and two men were arrested and transported to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office criminal investigations division, and criminal charges are pending, authorities said Friday.
