$3 Million Bond in Libertyville Murder Case

A Lake County Judge set a $3 million bond for a Round Lake Beach man charged with a fatal gun attack two nights before Christmas.

Kenneth Seplak, 37, appeared in court Wednesday on charges he shot a man to death and left him slumped behind the wheel of his Volkswagen Jetta. David Gorski, 30, died from a single gunshot wound that traveled through his right arm and into his chest, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Gorski was found near the corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Hollister Drive in Libertyville about 11:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

Gorski, a Libertyville resident, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center and pronounced deceased after he arrived.

Seplak’s next court appearance was scheduled for Jan. 25.
