90 Beers On Tap At Restaurant Set To Open Sunday In Vernon Hills

VERNON HILLS, IL — Yard House will open its third Illinois location this weekend.

Yard House, which is known for its wide selection of beers on top, will open on Sunday at Hawthorn Mall, 950 North Milwaukee Ave., according to a news release. The restaurant is the third Yard House location in Illinois.

There are 90 different American craft and imported beers on top at the Vernon Hills Yard House — including local and regional pours, Yard House officials said.

In addition, the just-opened restaurant has a glass-enclosed keg room that showcases hundreds of steel barrels containing as much as 4,000 gallons of beer. The beer flows to the center-island bar through an extensive network of tubing positioned overhead, pouring each beer at a perfect 36 degrees, according to a news release.

The menu has more than 80 unique dishes to choose from and features twists on American and global favorites. Guest favorites include signature poke nachos, Nashville hot chicken, tacos and proprietary-blend USDA prime burgers. Gluten-sensitive, vegan and vegetarian options are also available, ensuring something for everyone.
