Alcohol Compliance Checks: 6 Lake County Businesses Fail
55 alcohol compliance checks were conducted across Lake County, and six businesses failed, according to the sheriff's office.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office cited six businesses for selling alcohol to a minor during recent compliance checks. According to a release from the sheriff's office, alcohol compliance checks were conducted at 55 businesses that sell alcohol throughout Lake County. The compliance checks, according to the sheriff's office, are designed to ensure any business selling alcohol isn't selling to anyone under the age of 21, as it's illegal to sell alcohol to minors.
These six establishments are in violation of the recent alcohol compliance checks:
- 7-Eleven: 20502 North Milwaukee Avenue, unincorporated Deerfield
- Sunset Foods: 4190 Route 83, Long Grove
- Family Pantry: 21190 Commercial Drive, unincorporated Mundelein
- Rosko’s Citgo: 41452 Green Bay Road, Wadsworth
- Mobil Gas: 39119 North Lewis Avenue, Beach Park
- Hoeksema’s Mini Mart: 38975 North Lewis Avenue, Beach Park
The clerks accused of being in violation at the above establishments were ticketed for selling liquor to a minor, and are required to appear in Waukegan court, the sheriff's office said. In addition, notice of the violations were sent to their respective liquor commission jurisdictions — Long Grove, Beach Park, Wadsworth and Lake County Liquor Commission, the release added.
