Austin's To Reopen Wednesday Following Easter Fire
Hundreds were evacuated and four were injured after a blaze broke out during a brunch offered Sunday at the Libertyville business.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A local restaurant forced to close after a fire broke out during an Easter brunch will reopen Wednesday.
Austin's Saloon & Eatery, at 481 Peterson Road, will be back operating during normal business hours after "much hard work and cleanup," according to a post on the Austin's Facebook page.
"We want to extend a sincere thank you to the first responders who worked tirelessly to protect patrons and minimize damage," the Facebook post read. "Their quick response has helped us tremendously in getting back to business. And of course, thank you to our customers for your patience, outreach, and understanding."

Austin's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Hundreds were evacuated from the restaurant after the fire broke out at about 1 p.m. on Sunday. The fire broke out in the bar area, and a sprinkler system squelched the flames before fire crews arrived at the scene, according to a news release from the Libertyville Fire Department.

Fifteen police and fire agencies responded to the blaze.
Three people sustained minor smoke inhalation issues and were treated at the scene, authorities said. A fourth person was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center for further care.
