Car Strikes Railroad Crossing, Closes Route 173 In Wadsworth: Police
Route 173 was closed Monday between Delany Road and Green Bay Road, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
WADSWORTH, IL — An incident involving a car striking railroad crossing gates closed a potion of Route 173 Monday morning. According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, the car struck the gates at Delany and Green Bay Roads at around 6 a.m.
At that time, police said Route 173 between Delany and Green Bay Road would be closed for an "undetermined amount of time" due to the incident. As of 8 a.m., WFLD reports the roadway has been reopened.
