Chicago Man Faces Sexual Assault Charges After Missing Teen Found
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, the man reportedly engaged in acts of sexual penetration with the juvenile.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with several counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after the Lake County Sheriff's Office said deputies located a missing 14-year-old girl at a Libertyville motel Wednesday, where the man reportedly engaged in acts of sexual penetration with the juvenile. According to the sheriff's office, deputies were sent to a home in the 34000 block of North Jenna Lane, in Warren Township at 6:15 a.m., March 20, for a report of a missing juvenile, who was later located at a motel in the 31200 block of North Route 45 as the result of rapid investigation by sheriff's deputies.
The sheriff's office said it was revealed during further investigation that the teen was at the motel with 22-year-old Vincent A. Dunson Jr, of the 3200 block of West Thomas Street, Chicago.
According to officials, Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the scene and conducted further investigation, determining Dunson picked up the juvenile from her home, drove her to the Fremont Township motel, and engaged in sexual acts with her.

The sheriff's office said once deputies found the girl, she was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and was reunited with her family.
Dunson was arrested as a result of the investigation, and was charged with three counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and traveling to meet a minor.

“Preying on our most vulnerable is one of the most horrific acts one could do," Lake County Sheriff John Idleburg said, in a release sent to Patch. "I am thankful our Highway Patrol Deputies located her so quickly and our Detectives conducted extensive follow-up to determine what occurred.”
The sheriff's office said Dunson remains held in the Lake County Jail pending an initial court hearing.
