Connie Kowal to Discuss 33-Year Sports Career at Historical Society Meeting

Long-time Libertyville residentâand director of recreation and the Libertyville Sports Complexâis slated to discuss his 33-year sports career at the next Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society meeting.
Kowal worked in Chicago and professional sports, including in front office executive positions with the Chicago Cubs and the New Orleans Saints.
"Iâm really looking forward to speaking at the Historical Society, and sharing my experience and perspective of sports," Kowal said in a press release from the historical society. "Sports is history, memories, moments in time, of teams, people and events. Like life, sports impacts people at the national level, but also in towns and communities."

Kowal said he will "draw upon my over 30 years in the sports business, working in baseball (MLB-Cubs), football (NFL-Saints), soccer, lacrosse, motorsports, and other sports to share the both the âbehind the scenesâ and the âin the public eyeâ moments in sports that have become part of the history of sports."
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in the downstairs meeting room of the Cook Park Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave.
