Fourteen Copeland Manor fourth-graders will have their essays published in the fall issue of Creative Communications called “A Celebration of Today’s Writers.”
“It is a national essay contest and 14 students won,” said Ann Livermore, their teacher who submits the entries. “They were to write a 300-word essay on “What’s Important to Me.”
“Inspiration comes in many forms. Sometimes we have an experience that stays with us for a lifetime that urges us to try more things and experience even more. That is why I have my students stretch themselves to participate in this contest. This experience helps build resilience as well as confidence. I am so happy to learn that some continue to participate and share their thoughts even after they leave my classroom- what an inspiration.”
