Farmers Market, First Friday This Week

There's lots to do this week in Libertyville, from watching the fireworks at Butler Lake Park to checking out the activities and deals at First Friday.

There's a fun-filled week ahead in Libertyville, with the Farmers Market, Independence Day festivities, Out to Lunch and First Friday all taking place over the next few days.

Here's a look at what's coming up:

July 4: Libertyville Farmers Market. The market will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Church Street.

July 4: Independence Day festivities. The village's July 4 fireworks, sponsored by the village and Libertyville Mile of Cars, will take place at dusk (about 9:30 p.m.) at Butler Lake Park. The fireworks will be preceded by a performance from the Libertyville Band at 7:30 p.m. in the bandshell.

July 5: Out to Lunch. The weekly event, held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Cook Park, will feature nine food vendors, along with entertainment from Kevin Spica. Out to Lunch is held each Friday from June 21 through Aug. 16.

July 5: First Friday will be held throughout downtown Libertyville from 6 to 9 p.m. Save-A-Pet will have adoptable dogs at the Original K-9 Cafe. Runner's Edge's new store will be open at 526 N.
