Why Go?: The event features Donnie Dann, well-known environmentalist, presenting his program “The Future of Birds: Are continuing Declines Inevitable?” Today, a wide variety of threats is facing birds—including habitat loss, free-roaming cats, and collisions with glass, communication towers, and vehicles. Many local and national groups are working diligently to respond to these multiple threats, but there are ways that individuals can help.

Why Go?: This is a drop-in, free support group for families who have had to take on the responsibility of caring for an adult who has become incapacitated from surgery, illness or trauma. No registration is necessary.

Why Go?: A three-hour workshop focusing on nine issues critical to entrepreneurial success will be conducted at the College of Lake County in Vernon Hills in April. The sessions will cover sales, marketing, public relations, legal, business growth,accounting, insurance and banking.
