  • Why Go?: West Deerfield Township Supervisor , Lake County Recorder of Deeds Mary Ellen Vanderventer, and Lake County Board candidate are spearheading a collection of personal care items to aid local charities.

  • Why Go?: This fun, jammin' event for teens in Grades 6 - 12 involves two sessions. SESSION 1 is the Jive Session and will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the lower level meeting room and includes special guests Losing Scarlett, who opened for Bullet For My Valentine and local favorite Penguin Flight School. Teens will have the opportunity to chat with these local rock musicians about life in a band until 5:30 p.m. SESSION 2 is the Jam Session and will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Cook Park Library Main Level. Be prepared to GET LOUD! In this session, teens will have the opportunity to rock out with the rock stars and are welcome to bring their instruments if they want to join in. Registration is NOT required.
