Coats, of the 900 block of North Sterling Drive, pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse as part of a deal with prosecutors, according to the Daily Herald.
Coats was sentenced to two years of periodic imprisonment and given three years' probation. He also must complete 200 hours of public service and donate $500 to the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center and Crime Stoppers.
