Know Before You Go: Libertyville Days Festival Set To Return

The four-day summer festival will return Thursday and run through Sunday. Here's what you need to know if you go.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville Days will kick off Thursday and continue through Sunday, bringing four days of entertainment, good food and drinks, a parade and more.

There will be beer gardens in the Civic Center parking lot and on Church Street on all days of the festival. A carnival will again return provide thrills and fun for local families and the vendors at Church Street Eats will be serving up a variety of food and beverages on West Church Street between Brainerd and Milwaukee avenues.

PARADE

This year's parade will step off at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Metra train station and will head south on Milwaukee Avenue to Rockland Road. The parade will include bands, Shriner groups, clowns horses and more. This year's Grand Marshal will be Advocate Condell intensive care unit nurse Christina Riek.

ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR

The Arts and Crafts fair will run from 12 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Cook Park. Local artists, crafters and non-profit organizations will be exhibiting.

5 to 7 p.m.: American Psychos

8 to 11 p.m.: Modern Day Romeos

FRIDAY

4 to 7 p.m.: Soul Kitchen

8 to 11:30 p.m.: Sneezy

SATURDAY

Noon to 2 p.m.: Gizzae

2:30 to 4:30 p.m.: Uncle Pigeon

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Jimmy Nick

8 to 11:30 p.m.: Marlon & The Shakes

6:30 p.m.: Miss Libertyville Pageants - Cook Par. Little Miss - ages 6-8, Jr. Miss ages 11-13, Miss ages 16-21

FRIDAY

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Children's party for ages 8 and under at Cook Park. There will be games, activities and treats.

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Child fingerprinting.

10 to 12 p.m.: mini braids and hair braiding

5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.: Barre in the Park with Studio Elevate Fit

SATURDAY

12 to 3 p.m.: Libertyville Fire Department Fire Safety demonstration at Sunrise Rotary Park

1 to 3 p.m.: Fireman's Rib Cook Off Contest: watch teams of local fire departments compete for the best cooked ribs.

2 to 2:30 p.m.: Barre in the Park with Studio Elevate Fit

2 to 4 p.m.: Cook Mansion Open House at Cook Park

6:30 to 10 p.m. Talented local teen bands take the stage.

SUNDAY

12 to 1 p.m.: Root beer making demo and participation.

1 to 6 p.m.: Baggo Tournament sponsored by Morgan's Bar & Grill. The tournament is for ages 21 and and older.

2 to 4 p.m.: Cook Mansion Open House in Cook Park
