Lake County Sheriff's Office Announces Remaining Town Hall Meetings

The first three of five community town hall meetings have been a success. The final two meetings will be held this coming week. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging the community to attend one of upcoming meetings.

The meetings are being held to engage the community in conversation, and interactively discuss the many initiatives the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is leading in Lake County. Items to be discussed include: implementation of body-worn cameras, mental health initiatives, procedural justice programs, and discussion of the many other programs and responsibilities of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Mark Curran said, “We’ve received very useful feedback during the first three town hall meetings, and I appreciate the community coming out and spending some time with us. I’m confident our final two meetings will be just as informative.”

Undersheriff Ray Rose added, “These meetings are designed to encourage the community and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office having an informative conversation with each other. We’ve had some excellent dialogue and we are looking forward to hearing more from the community during the next two meetings.”

The next two meeting dates and locations are as follows:

• Tuesday, November 15, 2016; 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Beach Park Middle School, 40667 North Greenbay Road, Beach Park
• Wednesday, November 16, 2016; 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Kildeer Countryside Elementary School, 3100 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove
