Libertyville Montessori School Closes Abruptly
The closure will make way for the construction of a new apartment community.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Parents of students at Libertyville Montessori School were left scrambling when the school abruptly closed on Friday as construction gets underway on a new apartment community.
And while employees have been aware the school, which was founded 60 years ago, would close one day, they only learned of the permanent closure two days before it was shuttered, according to the Daily Herald. Meanwhile, work is getting underway on the Springs at Mundelein, which is a community of 147 apartment hones on the west side of Butterfield Road south of Huntington Drive.
The Daily Herald is reporting the reason behind the abrupt closure of the school at 442 Butterfield Road is still unclear.
