Neighbors came together and helped clear a tree and debris from a road in Libertyville after a storm went through Lake County Thursday evening, officials said. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that a deputy was dispatched to a road hazard in the 15700 block of West Idlewood Lane in unincorporated Libertyville around 8 p.m. Thursday.
Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli said the roadway was blocked after a tree had fallen down during the storm.

The tree had taken down a power line and caused power in the subdivision to go out.

The ComEd truck and workers were able to get through and restore power to the subdivision after the roadway had been cleared.
Covelli said that deputies mostly responded to the southeast quadrant of the county for storm-related calls. No injuries were reported.
“It’s always great to see communities come together to help each other out!” the sheriff’s office said.
