Man Arrested, Accused Of Burglarizing Vehicles Near Libertyville
Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for a second man in connection with the burglaries.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 40-year-old Lakemoor man faces charges for allegations he burglarized vehicles near Libertyville early on Monday.
Gregory A. Williams, Jr., 40, of the 100 block of Windward Drive in Lakemoor, was taken into custody at about 2:05 a.m. on Tuesday after authorities received a call from a property owner in the 19100 block of Route 137 in unincorporated Libertyville.
The caller said surveillance cameras captured footage of two people in a gated area on the property where several trailers were located, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived at the scene they found one of the two men, who was identified as Williams, police said. An investigation at the scene showed Williams and the other man were at the property to burglarize trailers and vehicles.
Police say the duo forced their way into one of the trailers and burglary tools were located near the trailer. Also, a backpack was located nearby, which contained a BB gun that resembled a real firearm, according to a news release.

The second burglar ran away just before deputies arrived but authorities have since identified the man and are seeking an arrest warrant for him, police said.
Williams was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail. He has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of possessing burglary tools.
