Man With Ties To Northern IL Accused Of Victimizing Women He Meets Online

Police in Wisconsin are searching for a man, who has ties to northern Illinois, that is wanted for financially victimizing women through dating apps, authorities said.

Timothy L. Olson, 52, has an active warrant for five counts of felony personal identity theft for financial gain. The warrant stemmed from an investigation by the Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin Police Department.

The Racine, Wisconsin Police Department issued a statement Wednesday cautioning women about Olson.

Racine Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Kristi Wilcox said Olson meets women on dating apps and then victimizes them, resulting in financial loss. Officials did not provide further information regarding Olson’s alleged criminal actions.

Racine police say they are looking to speak to Olson regarding similar incidents in their jurisdiction.

Olson, who is approximately 6-foot-3 and weighs around 250 pounds, has ties to southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, Wilcox said.
