Mundelein Arts Festival Will Be Held In September

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend of September 6 and 7 at Courtland Commons.

MUNDELEIN, IL — The 14th Annual Mundelein Arts Festival will return in September.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend of September 6 and 7 at Courtland Commons, which is located at the northeast corner of East Courtland Street and Seymour Avenue in downtown Mundelein.

The art festival will have 50 juried artists showcasing stunning paintings, photography, pottery, wood furnishings, jewelry, fiber arts and other one-of-a-kind, handmade creations, according to a news release. Guests can browse and shop while enjoying live music by local musicians.

Admission and parking are free and food will be available for purchase.

“We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Courtland Commons, which gives us the space to showcase even more incredible talent,” said festival founder and Event Chair Christa Lawrence. “The Mundelein Arts Festival isn’t just about art—it’s about celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of discovering something beautiful you didn’t expect. Every year, I’m amazed at the variety and quality of work our artists bring, and I can’t wait for visitors to experience it.”

Artist booths will be set up on paved areas for easy accessibility. In addition to professional artists, the festival will highlight student artwork from Mundelein High School and Carmel Catholic High School in a dedicated Student Art Tent.

With the support ofPlatinum Sponsor Mundelein McDonald’s, Gold Sponsor University of Saint Mary of the Lake, and Silver Sponsor Mundelein Automotive, scholarships will be awarded to students from each school. Scholarship recipients will be announced on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

Families can also enjoy a free kids’ Craft Tent, where children can get creative. Festival-goers can grab a bite from food vendors, while local musicians perform throughout the weekend.

The Mundelein Arts Festival is presented by Mundelein Community Connection and the Mundelein Park & Recreation District, with heartfelt thanks to the many sponsors, artists, and volunteers who make the event possible.
