No Arrests In Aggravated Assault At Gas Station: Libertyville Police

Police in Libertyville are continuing to look for a suspect accused of pointing a gun at a gas station employee early on March 25.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Police in Libertyville are continuing to look for a man accused of pointing a handgun at a gas station employee last month.

The man entered the gas station in the 2000 block of Shell Drive at about 1:20 a.m. on March 25. After spending about a half-hour in the bathroom, an employee went to check on the man, who then left the business, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.

The employee told police the man then pointed a black handgun at them while leaving the parking lot in a silver sports utility vehicle with tinted windows and an unknown Wisconsin license plate.

The vehicle left, heading north on Route 45. The Libertyville Police Department is actively investigating this incident.

As of Monday, the aggravated assault is still being investigated, Libertyville Police Department deputy chief Chad Roszkowiak told Patch in an email response.
