No Injuries Reported In Shooting In Six Flags Parking Lot: Police

The shooting happened Monday night at the popular theme park in Gurnee, police said.

GURNEE, IL — No one was injured when shots were fired in the parking lot at Six Flags Great America on Monday night.

The Gurnee Police Department responded to the reported shooting at the popular theme park, which is located at 1 Great America Parkway in Gurnee, at about 8:20 p.m. on Monday, according to a news release from the police department.

An investigation revealed there may have been an argument right before the shots were fired, and officers responding to the scene "did locate evidence" that confirmed a shooting occurred, police said.

"At this time, there are no known victims," police said. "Investigators are actively processing the scene and interviewing witnesses to gather additional details. Currently, there is no known active threat to the public."
