Graffiti at Butler Lake, Underage Drinking

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Graffiti on Butler Lake Band Shell

During the last two weeks, the east wall and double doors of the Butler Lake Band Shell, 808 Lake St., were damaged. Graffiti and messages were scratched into the band shell’s double doors with some type of key or tool. No damage estimate was provided.

Four Libertyville men were charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property after police responded to a complaint of people throwing items from the announcers’ box at the football field at , 708 W. Park Ave.

The four underage men attempted to flee the area on foot, and police later discovered an opened bottle of liquor in their vehicle, which was parked nearby.

Ryan P. Mertz, 19, 845 Interlaken Lane, Libertyville; Nicholas R. McDowell, 20, 218 Pond Ridge Road, Libertyville, and Ryne C. Clement, 20, 128 W. Golf Road, Unit C, Libertyville, were each charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property, criminal damage to property, unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Joshua D. Prochotsky, 20, 1816 Darnell St., Libertyville, was charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property and criminal damage to property.

All four later were released after each signing a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. They were all issued a March 22 court date in Waukegan.

Retail Theft, Underage Drinking

Police responded to a report March 8 of suspicious persons, possibly intoxicated, near the liquor display at Walgreens, 1470 S. Milwaukee Ave.

Police located two men, Cheron M. Williams, 24, 2336 Iroquois Lane, Round Lake Heights, and Devin K. Miller, 19, 31 French Court, Mundelein. Both were charged with retail theft.

Miller also was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He later was released on bond and was issued a March 19 court date in Waukegan.

Williams was transported to Lake County Jail for a bond hearing, where he was remanded on a $50,000 cash bond.

Criminal Trespass to Property

Roberto Gonzalez-Guerrero, 37, 1127 Woodridge Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged March 8 with criminal trespass to property after video surveillance observed him at Burgess Manufacturing, 1911 Industrial Drive. No trespass signs are posted on the property. He later was released after posting $120 cash bond and was issued an April 11 court date in Mundelein.

Driving Violations

Marco A. Lopez-Mendoza, 23, 810 N. View Drive, Apt. 6, McHenry, was charged March 6 with driving without a valid driver’s license, and was cited with defective windshield. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and was issued an April 25 court date in Mundelein.

Meghann E. Harris, 19, 1905 Bradford St., Harrison, Ark., was charged March 7 with driving while license suspended. She later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 11 court date in Mundelein.

Mireya Gonzalez, 21, 1323 Cherokee Drive, Round Lake, was charged March 7 with driving without a valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance and driving without headlights. She later was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 25 court date in Mundelein.
