Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 35-year-old man, who is considered endangered, as officers have been actively searching for him Tuesday near Lake Barrington.
Daniel Spears, 35, left Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in unincorporated Barrington on foot Tuesday.

Spears was last seen in the area of Route 22 and Kelsey Road near Lake Barrington, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said.
Police say Spears is endangered and they are concerned for his wellbeing. Spears was last seen running into the woods near Route 22 and Morgan Lane, according to police radio traffic.

Numerous police departments were seen setting up a perimeter and searching the area for the man.
He was last seen wearing shorts or boxers, the sheriff’s office said.
