Police Nab Gurnee Burglar Still At Scene Of Crime: Police

Authorities do not believe the 31-year-old man was involved in a series of other burglaries at businesses that happened this week.

GURNEE, IL — A 31-year-old Gurnee man has been arrested for a burglary that happened early Thursday in Gurnee.

Enosh Mekson, 31, faces charges of felony theft, felony criminal damage to property, resisting a police officer and obstructing a peace officer, according to authorities. The burglary, which happened at about 1:15 a.m. at a business in the 5200 block of Grand Avenue, does not appear to be connected to a series of burglaries that happened overnight Wednesday, police said.

Police were called to the scene of the early Thursday Grand Avenue burglary after an alarm sounded at the business. When officers arrived, they located Mekson still at the scene of the crime, police said.
