TONIGHT: Symphony847 Presents Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto — Pre-Concert Talk Now Available

Symphony847 returns to Libertyville tonight with a program centered around Beethoven’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor”, featuring Chicago-based pianist Amy Wurtz. The evening also includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 and Michael Torke’s energetic orchestral work Ash.

To help audience members get more out of the performance, Music Director Christopher Ramaekers has recorded a 16-minute pre-concert talk offering insights into all three works. It’s a great listen whether you’re a seasoned concertgoer or simply curious about what makes this music so engaging.
