• Lincoln turns to 2006 alum as next football coach (lincolncourier.com) — Lincoln Community High School has hired 2006 alum Aaron Fricke as its new head football coach, bringing him back to lead the Railsplitters after stints at several Illinois programs. Fricke hopes to build participation and tradition with a flexible, modern offense, while new IHSA playoff expansion could improve Lincoln’s postseason chances in coming years.
